Re: Krag Era Medals

Yes, I am sure the clasp came from China. Probably a little souvenir. I'll have to research the 5 claw dragon. Thanks for the info. Note that the fourth medal is the "Imperial Order of the Dragon" medal. The enlisted men could join this order. The "Military Order of the Dragon" w...

My folks called tonight and let me know that an uncle of mine is giving me the campaign medals my great grandfather received from serv...

1891 Magazine Board Update

Here is an article from the 8/22/1891 "Scientific American" giving an update to the Board's testing to date. Some interesting points. Article starts on page 116. https://www.google.com/books/edition/Scientific_American/qV9yBfLEWZIC?hl=en&gbpv=1&dq=krag+jorgensen+desk&pg=PA117&a...

Re: New member looking to learn

I see you are already taking it apart and cleaning. Good idea. But we are anxious, at least I am, to see the overall gun once cleaned and re-assembled. But don't rush it for our sake. Enjoy.

Re: You think you have it bad?

I need to get a game camera in the back of my place. There may be some surprising things to see. Is yours set up where you can check your pictures from a computer in the house?
