I am looking a carbine and comparing using Poyers book. Would a carbine is the 346xxx serial range have a headless cocking piece? I know Poyer has a few discrepancies.

If you were going to be able to only purchase one book right now would it be THE KRAG RIFLE STORY by FFramklin B Mallory or The KRAG RIFLE by Lt. Col. William S. Brophy? Thanks for the opinions.

You have some choices. <br />1. Handguards can be glued or look for a replacement on ebay as they do show up.<br />2. I need to clean the threads on my 1902 rear sight elevation bar. I can't determine from the locking knob what the the size is. I thought it was a 10-28 or 10-32 but it doesn't look right.

I have found a Krag rifle that has at some point in past had the barrel re-blued. The owner believes that that this shouldn't affect the value. However, I believe that it devalues the rifle.
