Re: Rod Bayonet 1903 Springfield
That is a very nice looking Rifle. I have seen one just like it at the gun shows here in my area and the gun with it is also the author of Description of U.S. Military Rifle Sights. The model of the Springfield you have is not out of place as it does have a modified Krag rear site on it till, it was...

Re: getting 1892 krag rebarreled
I would get the data the show that the BATF say that type and make of rifle is a legal weapon. The go back to your Local office that enforces these laws and then see what they say. I am sure if you look around and ask at gun show you will find they sell them and if so ask how they can sell a weapon ...

Re: Anyone have a recommendation for Arisaka info?
while your rifle has the shape of a type 38, it seems to be missing and not removed makings and I have never seen a bole like that on a Jap rifle. what round does it shot and can use a few more pics if possible.

Re: Anyone have a recommendation for Arisaka info?
Hi,
I also have a 7.7 long serial number less that 6000, and still has all markings and the rear site is still intact, only missing is the mono pod and the barrel end cap. I look forward to helping you and sharing may info and help with you.

Re: New member/ Krag owner refinish or not?
Nice Rifle, would like to see more pics of it. I am not a expert on refinishing but, if you try to strip the finish off you may do more harm than good. I believe that the dark red color is correct for the wood used, but yours from what little I can see does have some form of finish on it. To remove ...

Re: Buried 30-40 ammo
buried ammo can be used but I would not use it unless it were in a waterproof container. I have used 50's ammo I picked up on the ground at Ft Bragg and it shot just fine but I had one round the ruptured through the primer pocket and Destroyed my M1 Grand stock, from the butt plate to the front of t...
