I love the smell of pine trees... No argument parashooter regards originality. I do find however that using BLO is more friendly and does not require extend time to cure. I just bought a hand guard for a1898 Krag and a peep blade with screw for a 1902 sight from S&S. The HG is a almost a perfect fit and the peep blade with screw fit perfectly.

KW: It has been my experience with old bores, 03's, Krags's and Mauser's that yes they will have accumulated amounts of copper in them as lot of these old guns were nevere fully cleaned over the course of 50+years.
