Specific reloads
Hello, it is fun to be back ! I have submitted only 1 post in in the last year and half, primarily due to a deer tick bite while hunting from which I developed Babesia and became an invalid for several months. I am now back to 90% energy and endurance, and have returned to rifle shooting and and rel...

Re: My first US Krag, an 1899 Carbine
Hello Monster Man and welcome to the forum! I, too, acquired an 1899 Krag Carbine about a year ago, and joined the forum shortly after that. I am a collector of U.S. service rifles and my Krag filled out my collection from the Civil War (1862 Springfield .58) through the M1 Garand. I probably will n...

Re: Question on powder
<br />Hello from central Massachusetts. Since early March I and my family have been sheltering in place. and I have not been to my gun club. As such, I have not spoken to any of my reloading buddies. On this and other forums I have recently noticed references to members' inability to purchase variou...

Re: Pressure - Reloading Manuals
Cap'n, thanks for confirming what I have been seeing. I had a Lee manual published in the late 1990's and it did include CUP pressure data for each load it listed. A couple of years ago I spilled a half bottle of Hoppe's #9 onto it and had to trashcan it. I will call Lee's office on Monday to see if...

Which, if any, reloading manuals include pressure data for all loads listed? Thanks

Re: Accurate 2250 Powder
Thank You for generating the data on my 180 gr and 220 reloads with IMR 4350 and R/15 respectively. I am disappointed on the R/L 15 data. 1700 FPS is anemic velocity. I am thinking of "pulling" the 20 rounds I have loaded at that charge level, and increasing to 35 grs of R/L 15. The 180 gr...

Re: Accurate 2250 Powder
Paul, Thanks for your perspective on AA2520 powder and your responses to my other posts over the last few weeks as I try to "get up and running" with my Model 1899 carbine. Evidently, AA2520 has not been used by forum members. I wrote to its maker, Western Powders, and they shared that the...

Re: PointBlank 2.0 Ballistics Software
Vic, Thanks for the tip on Hornady's software. I spent some time with it last night and I like it. I have used PB 2.0 for the last time.
