Re: Canadian Stock-Maker
I bought one of the Krag stocks from Prestigious stocks in Canada. I’ve not started fitting the action yet but it does not look too bad. The rear trigger guard screw is not drilled. Both bands will take work as the lower band cut was made with a rounded bit and the wood the upper band slips over is ...

Re: General questions about rifle
If you happen to have it out of the stock I would appreciate a photo of the underside of what is being called the “beauty ring.” I am having a band made now for the same purpose and location. It would be interesting to see how it was done in the past.
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Need a picture of a handguard spring clip. Attached or unattached to the handguard.
Warspasm, Clips are .02 thick and .620 wide, rear band I believe is two inches long before bending. I used 1075 steel. I believe it is listed as Spring steel, but still needs to be tempered to be a “spring”. I have some 1075 the right dimensions if you want some. Getting the holes in the right spot ...

HTTPS - the "S" means you have a "secure" connection from your computer to the web server. With the current technology there is encryption and it ensures no one is rerouting your connection through another server to steal your data.

Re: Long Range Chances
As others have stated staying supersonic is the critical part. I use to shoot LR a good bit with an M1A and 175 SMKs so they will perform.
If you need zeros I always found the "thermometer" target works very well not only for elevation but to make sure your windage tracks as the sigh...

Re: Looking for advice for my 1899 Krag Carbine
#2 is not right. #1 is correct and #3 looks correct too.
No disrespect meant towards you but my advice is take it to a professional gunsmith or machinist who knows what they are doing. Little room for error here, barrel steel is soft and I believe that's an original $$$ barrel.

Re: Krag barrel installation
The Krag receiver wrench from Numrich will clear the military front sight base, not sure about the aftermarket or other non-Krag front sights used on Sporters. If you had a real tall sight blade you may have to remove the blade but you would anyway to get the upper band on.
The lug does all th...
