I did not know that the Rifle Shoppe offers a Krag carbine stock.
You should contact them and find out about availability and projected wait time.
Hopefully someone on the KCA Forum has some experience with one.

Re: Repro Krag Carbine Stock
You can try this Canadian maker. A few members have had luck with his products.
I believe a fair amount of fitting is involved. He may also list on eBay at a better price.
I 'bumped' an old thread up in 'ChitChat'.

Re: Unfinished Barrel-band
Over the years, I've purchased some 'unfinished Krag parts'. This is the first time I have observed a possible 'raw' barrel-band. (I don't need to own it). IMO - The 'barrel-band' could be the real thing. It would make sense to have a locator "U", right at the start of shaping & finish...

Unfinished Barrel-band
I noticed this 'partially made' US Krag rifle barrel-band on eBay today. I have never seen one in this state, before.
This part kind of looks like a casting, but it is probably actually a forging.
FWIW - It is kind of interesting and gives some insight into the manufacture of this part.

Re: M1895 Winchester Musket and the Road to Camp Perry
US 'training camp' Mosin rifles will likely have a US stamp and 'eagle head' mark.
The US-North Russian Intervention Mosins and earlier rifles that got to Czarist Russia, will lack US ownership markings.
The early 'hex' receiver is visible in the attached Fort Sheridan photo.

Re: M1895 Winchester Musket and the Road to Camp Perry
The Remington and Westinghouse model 1891 Mosin-Nagant rifles had 'hexagonal' shaped receivers. It is possible 470,000 Remington and Westinghouse Mosin rifles were shipped to Czarist Russia and maybe the Provisional Government, which continued fighting the Germans and Austrians. I believe the U.S. N...

Re: M1895 Winchester Musket and the Road to Camp Perry
Camp Perry vintage rules should be amended to allow 'hex-receiver' Mosins and 7.62 Russian ammo, as used at WW1 training camps and during U.S. North Russian Intervention. It was a surrogate U.S. Military weapon.

Re: New Trap Door Acquisition - need help
What a crazy TD! What's with the apparent 'ghost markings' above the serial number?
It was probably an infamous 666XX serial number and the Knights Templar obliterated it.
Or ... Springfield Armory had an Office Party .... can't get good help some days!
