Re: Krag sporter estamate
Just to update you. I talked to her today. I'll be posting the sight soon. She may give the gun to her Brother in law. She asked what to do about him not having a rear sight. I politely said "Your giving him the gun. Let him find his own sight." AI3A1337.JPG AI3A1336.JPG I've added picture...

Go to a Muzzle loading supply catalogs, Dixie Gun works, Log Cabin shop etc and get some. I'm going to really blow the selling aquafortus. It will bring out the strips, then True Oil it. I have a beautifully striped 1891 Mauser, straight from the factory.

Re: Pretty Nasty Action in the Philippines
When I read of the Philippines it reminds me of Viet-nam. If you were to black out the place names, you would not know about which war you were reading.
The public's attitude about the troops, the type of fights, the retaliation, the Government's bungling. We seem to not learn.

Krag sporter estamate
I'm appraising guns for a window lady. She has a 98 rifle cut down to a shorter. Typical garage job. Cut down rifle stock. Carbine rear sight put on backwards, no hand guards. Silver metal, some exterior rust. You know the drill. I knew what these were worth pre Covid ( PC ). My guess is they have n...

I had a similar example. My wife was selling a sewing machine. Received a casher's check for way over what we were asking. I forget how much. The check was from a different state than what the envelope was mailed in. The shipping address was to a 3rd state. The check was beautiful! I took it to the ...

Re: Ammo and component availability getting better?
I was able to buy 45-70 brass from Midsouth. I could not buy the Krags cuz they are primed. No ground shipping to AK. There is powder coming in but NO primers. I did land some .30 220 grain RN Hornady bullets @ $.50 each. Things are looking up. Pun intended.
