Re: Baltimore Gun Show AAR
I did find a nice M38 1942 Swede Husqvarna for 695.00 plus 20.00 for a background ck. As I’m not a ax murderer, illegal alien, legal alien or a politician I passed. Not as big of a show as the last two years I’m afraid, not as crowded either. I hope it’s not a trend. As has been said prices were up ...

Re: 96 Carbine sight for Sale?
Now I know what I’m looking for. Thanks. Have 2 in my Krag parts box but no ‘C’ anywhere and different ranges.

Re: 96 Carbine sight for Sale?
Thank you sir for the clarification. Not the first time I’ve been confused. Probably not the last either.

Re: 96 Carbine sight for Sale?
Hey Whig, just a question. My correct 1899 constabulary/school rifle has a correct ‘C’ carbine rear sight on it. My faintly cartouche [lightly sanded I think] 1896 saddle ring carbine that I found last March has a ordinary rifle sight. Which rifle would be more valuable with the coveted ‘C’ sight no...

Re: 1896 SRC almost.
I shot it yesterday at our BAMM and was initially plagued with brass that didn’t want to eject clear of the action. I finally figured that I needed to really work the bolt rearward to get a positive ejection. How high should my ejector be when its in the ‘up’ position? Can they be bent a little to m...

Re: 1896 SRC almost.
Guess I've repeated myself, sorry when I shot it seriously at a 40 yd target off my bench and was very disappointed. Patterning, even a keyhole. The same 198 gr loads work fine in my other Krags. Well I’ve spent a couple hours working on the very nasty bore. Used up all my juice so I’ll pick more up...

Re: 1896 SRC almost.
Finally got around to shooting it yesterday and it didn’t do much. Patterning with a couple keyholes off the bench at 40 yds. I spent some time last night cleaning the bore, will continue cleaning it tonight. Whereas the 6.5 Swedish Mauser I picked up last month was grouping into an inch with my cas...

Re: Board of Ordance and Fortifications Rifle ????
Amazing Krag indeed.
[Thought it was interesting but my 1899 Constabulary Rifle -August 1900- is 50,000 rifles away from the Lot 133 rifle in the photo.]
