Krag Collectors Association Forum

I do not know about the Krag barrel, but i had a criterion M-1 garand barrel put on a M-1. My gunsmith said it was a correct fit and i think it shoots great. i would guess that the Krag barrel might have a different thread pitch for the rear sight.

Mine seems to have a slight bevel.

The wire "hanger" is not wide enough for a trapdoor bayonet scabbard. Maybe its for a Krag bayonet, sword or as Mr. Hosmer said a cartridge box?

I bought a N.O.E. mold that casts a 220gr. bullet based on the lyman mold made for the Krag rifle. I have not found a good load for it yet.
