Butlersrangers, I have given your theory thought. It is as good as any other I can come up with. Maybe a will put a bolt with a '96 handle in it sometime just to see how everything lines up.

I decided to get 2 Parkhurst clips. They work so smoothly!!!

I am trying to find that Pacific peep sight uses the magazine cut off spot.

I am looking for an original 1899 Krag carbine stock in good or better condition for a carbine I'm restoring. I am not concerned about date stamps as long as the stock is an original unmodified stock in good or better condition. I am also looking for an original unmodified carbine barrel for an 1899...

So, here is the latest addition to my collection. I was very lucky to stumble upon it and even luckier to be able to acquire it. I have not seen one in real life before.
