This is a new one for me. Stroebel's book says the No. 25 is for the Lee Navy 6mm.

a Nor Krag could be rebarrled or rebored to 7x57 I suppose but collector value is destroyed, is just a sporterized military now. Am not sure a rebore would be a good idea though because base diameter of 6.5x55 is bigger than 7x57, rebarrel would be OK.

Sticking in my memory is a recollection of reading years ago that the last Krags, over 400,000 ser. no., had better barrels as Springfield Armory's workmanship improved. Looks like any other Danish Krag except for odd barrel. Forend cut short to sporter length, otherwise unaltered. Have never shot it, don't plan to, might make it into a 45-70.

Would appreciate help in identifying a Danish Krag, has 24 3/4" (muzzle to breech face) barrel in the usual jacket. Marked Haerens Tojfus 1917, ser. no. 112239 is marked on receiver, barrel breech and bolt, ser. no. 13163 is marked on rear sight base, standup leaf, and bayonet lug. No letter pr...
