Re: Norwegian target rifle
Hi.
You got a nice sample of a typical sport norwegian krag setup. The stock is beech laminated, and M30 style stock. The barrel seem to be the 21mm size, and got the latest (Still used) Urmek front sight. The rubber ring left on front of barrel (pic1) is remains of attachement for mirage band,...

Re: 1916 Norwegian Krag Jorgenson info? near complete
Your Krag M1912 karabin looks complete, even with the original sling. At the moment on Gunbroker, two is for sale. I would believe yours with the muzzle cover, sling and the rod intact, should at least bring $1000, perhaps more.

Re: Need a little help identifying this Krag Carbine.

I have an old Krag Jorgensen, I would like to know what model it is and when it was made. If anyone can help me I would really appreciate it. The serial number appears to be 64314. 1903 is stamped on top, in front of the bolt. It has the symbol with the crown over the 1903 (I think this ...

Re: Krag in the Boer War
Krag and Jrgensen had their own company, KJGCo (Krag-Jrgensen gun company) that was founded for selling krags thru agents world wide. The Boers bougth several houndreds krags after a test May 30 1896. These test rifles and carabines were actually made at kongsberg in Norway. The later deliveries was...

Re: Nazi Krag sporter
Could it be that you remember wrong, as some krags are made 8x57 (7.92x57)?

Re: Nazi Krag sporter
As mentioned, picture will help a lot.
Either this is a prototype or a modification. If you really is lucky this is one out of really rare krags made 1891 (200 I believe) in 7x57 as model krags, later stamped by germans? Not likely, but one way of how a krag (Norwegian model) is 7x57. Photo he...
