Re: Norwegian Carbine Information

You got a very nice M1912/16. Early serial of those made in 1916. It miss the rear sling swivel, that is reason of the screwhole at rear. Got the reinforcement band in front, mounted on those with the 1912 noseband with the 1916 reinforcement band. As early serial, it has the stock that do not flush...

Re: ?? Stomperud Krag ??

Hi.

The nominal dimention of the rod is 7/31", or 5.55mm. Finding rods above og bellow within 0.1mm tollerance is what I would find acceptable.
The Stomperud barrel front dia is done so the front band for the m94 rifle fit the barrel dia, and that the front sight from the m94 fi...

Re: ?? Stomperud Krag ??

How long is the cleaning rod on this one? Is the rod simular to the carabine one? If so, that and looking more into the pictures I will say that this one must be a krag from the "production" after ww2, where krags were assembeled or revised with Stomperud barrels. It look pretty good, almo...

Re: ?? Stomperud Krag ??

Digging the history: I've read more about this Stomperud production. One plausible and perhaps correct issue regarding this krag, is that during the years 1946-1951, a number of 1572 krags were mod to the short krag. Some of these were with the original 1944-NC serial. I therefore suspect that this ...
