On my fake Krag carbine barrel, there is a P stamped on it but, also a stamped OALW. The OALW also appears on a plate that is screwed in the buttstock where the rear sling should attach.
The plate is stamped OALW 137.
Has anyone heare of this??

No I didn't pay much for it. I bought it 10 years ago. I suspected when I bought it that it may be a put together gun. I may part it out or shoot it myself.

I found the pictures. My Krag look exactly like the one in the pictures.

Thanks for your information.
The Krag does have a band on the front stock, no swivel, no hole, the barrel is 22 inches. No swivel on the butt stock.
The stock and barrel look new to me, the receiver doesn't. I don't think that the barrel has had a round fired through it.
