Re: Stomperud
I contacted the folks at Kongsberg, and this is what they had to say:

"Hi Oly!

This was a really nice example of this rare model. Is it possible for us to get permission to use the picture at this models web page with your name under as photographer?

1095 is the...

Re: Stomperud

Looks nice. I just posted on some other board that I'd not seen one in a 1912 stock. Now I have. I've read that some of the parts were assembled on into the 50s and 60s. 50s I could see, but 60s? It looks like the bolt handle bears on yours, like it does on mine. On the other hand, a 191...

Re: What have I got?

Hot dog, 1894 stock sets came up on gunbroker again, and I ordered one. This rifle is on its way to being in proper configuration! Well, close as I'm going to get it. Now to get that front sight!

Nice!! Your Stomper is just a few numbers from mine! Almost exactly ...

Re: Stomperud
<r>Here's mine. Great looking rifle, perfect bore, odd finish that, on the stock at least, I'm sure has been messed with. No idea what the value is and don't care - I'm just happy to have such a great shooter in fantastic shape.

<IMG src="https://kragcollectorsassociation.org/kca/phpBB3/i...

Re: Help With Receiver Sight
<r>Thanks to your help I was able to figure out what kind of sight I needed. What's more, I was lucky to find one. Egads was it expensive! But, such is life - press on or give up. ;)

Here are some pics. Someone varnished the wood way back in time and everywhere it's been dinged or scuffe...

Re: Help With Receiver Sight

Oly O,

You have a rifle that was arsenal drilled to accept the Norwegian Target or Sniper sight.

What does the receiver ring say on the left? Anything stamped above the serial number?

The M25 sniper rifles had a fully adjustable aperture rear sight that i...

Help With Receiver Sight
<r>I have a nice Kongsberg Krag long rifle that has, unfortunately, been drilled for a receiver sight. I have both the Williams and the Lyman, and the mounting points do not line up or match. Can y'all look at the posted picture and help me to figure out what receiver sight this rifle was set up for...
