Re: Hornady 30-40 at Midway right now!

Re: Loads

I have a copy of that book too, as well as a copy of the 30-06 book. Pretty useful, especially for those just getting started in reloading!

Re: It doesn't take a Geologist ....

Paul in his younger days at the copper mines... That's pretty funky Photoshopping! Is he supposed to be holding the rock in his teeth? Also, looks like something other than rock, but I'll go no further . . . LOL Dick, let's just say - be careful what you place in the vicinity of my mouth!

Re: It doesn't take a Geologist ....

Finding a Petosky stone in Copper Harbor... or anywhere in Lake Superior would be a tall order indeed! Most are found on the northwest coast of Lake Michigan... and I have found a few in my youth, although now-a-days, they are pretty slim pickings! I have one on my night table that is in the shape o...

Re: It doesn't take a Geologist ....

Way back in 75'... we took a 2 week family trip to the UP (sadly, the only time I've actually ever been across the "Bridge" as it were). We spent a week of that in Copper Harbor at a cabin and touring the ghost towns and abandoned copper mines, and toured the still operating Delaware Mine ...

Re: Long barrel carbine stock

Welcome to the KCA Forum!!! It could help with some better images. The stock at first glance could be a carbine stock, however, better views of the right and left side, as well as a close-up of the left side of the receiver and front sight would be very helpful in identifying just what you have ther...

Re: Carry Options

Dang! .... I guess I'd wear 'snake boots' to Church and have a 12 gauge 'riot' gun and flashlight on my front seat! I am deaf in one ear and cannot hear and locate snakes by sound. Fortunately, in Michigan... Massasauga Rattlers are elusive and rarely encountered, and when you do see them, they are...
