Re: Hornaday Interlock 220 grain bullet Sale

My 250 count box of 220 grain bullets are en route from American Reloading. Have bought a number of various projectiles from them. The "pulled .308 150 grain FMJ's" I bought from them looked new without any pull marks.

Factory loaded ammunition

I was in a rather large gun store (for here in CT) yesterday and I spied Remington 30-40 Krag ammunition with 180gr round nose CoreLokt bullets on the shelf. Ten boxes. I stop by there once a month or so and hadn't seen it before. $57.99/box. New ammo run, looks like.

Re: M1898 Krag carbines

I'm updating the M1898 carbine list since I just saw a listing with good pictures for an authentic early Model 1898 Krag carbine with the 30 inch stock, correct Model 1896 carbine rear sight and sling and ring. Sure looks good to me and has a great serial number 123905. Link is: https://www.gunboar...

Re: Scrounging Old 30-40 Brass

Check Ebay. When I acquired my Krag a couple years ago (a genuine 1898 carbine) I scored several hundred rounds of new brass from two different sellers on eBay. Found dies there, too. Flogged 100 rounds to a member here. Since I have just one Krag I neck size only. Brass for life!

Re: Bargain .45

I recently bought the same pistola new from Palmetto State Armory for $300. Initially thought it was parkerised, but I think it's Ceracote. I put rosewood grips on mine, too. Figured I would have to give it the onceover tuneup, but slide to frame fit, lock up, and trigger were good to go. I ran 10 m...

Re: My WW1 Swedish M38.

I shoot my 1942 Husqvarna M38 better than any of my military bolt guns. Would love to find a diopter rear sight for it.

Re: HOT loads

I lurk here regularly, and post hardly ever. +1000 on what others say about pulling down some rounds to see what shape they are in. I recently went through a bunch of old 30.06 reloads (300+) I got from an old guy. Found good stuff, and some really bad stuff. What it looks on the outside is not an i...

Wow! They had only a few of those thousand man dorms when I was there in March 1972.

Re: A ship's musket

Wow, 'modified' is an understatement. I have a Model 1816 made in 1832 by U. S. Johnson in Middletown, CT that is unmodified, with the bayonet. Its over 6' long with the bayonet attached. Have to go take some pics to share and compare.
