Good catch. It even says it was taken June 1898, which was before the Army and Navy agreed to standardize on the Krag. I'll dust off my Wikipedia account and see if I can change it

Looks like there are at least a few other Winchester-Lee enthusiasts floating around in here, so I thought I’d post a picture of my navy contract example (17765). I also have a rough factory sporter I use for testing new loads, and a nicer factory sporter on the way.

I got it from Poulin up in Maine. I got caught up in the moment and overpaid for it, so I'm a little embarrassed, but hammer price was 1600.
