It looks like this was originally a rifle. They cut the barrel to 22” but did a lousy crown job. I chucked it in the lathe and cleaned it up. I put the roller-coaster type sight on it. I’m a newbie here and I thought I’d show a pic of a recent acquisition. This thing was a complete mess, as you can see. My goal is to clean her up so that she has at least a little dignity left for the rest of her life. She was born in 1901 and has had a very hard life.
