Re: Krag RIA Ammo Leather Case
Dick I’m trying to figure out from your post which era do I have? I know it’s black, but that may just be from years of leather conditioner or linseed or other oil or something like that, because the inside is brown leather and it looks like more of the type that bullet rangers has as the later gene...

Re: Krag RIA Ammo Leather Case
Thanks Whig! I definitely will try to protect the leather. And thank you for the heads up on the indentation on the inside. It’s really cool and I didn’t realize they were used for trapdoors as well. I also picked up two early Springfield M1903’s and sent you an email asking if you would please chec...

Re: Thinking about selling my 1903 dated Krag rifle, bayonet, leather sling
Thanks Whig!
There’s no hidden problems. Stock is in really good shape, bore looks great. and no pitting on the metal. I paid $700 for the rifle, $80 for the bayonet, and $75 for the sling.

Thinking about selling my 1903 dated Krag rifle, bayonet, leather sling
I’m thinking about taking my 1903 dated Krag rifle with its 1903 bayonet and 1903 RIA leather sling to the big Lakeland gun show in Florida this weekend.
What is a good fair market price that I should be asking for this all 1903 dated combination?

Re: Lucky Finds!! at military collector show today
Wow Whig!!! That’s an amazing looking collection of Carbines and a couple lonely looking Rifles in their midst.
I sent you a PM yesterday as well asking if you could help check my 1903 Krags serial number in SRS. Thank you!

Lucky Finds!! at military collector show today
I was walking around looking at tables at a local military collector showed in Florida today looking for a World War II USMC Kabar knife and As I was digging through a large box of knives and bayonets that an old gentleman had, I found a 1903 dated Krag bayonet! And just two tables down was an origi...
