Re: 2018 Roosevelt Match Schedule Improved
I hope you all noticed that in 2018 the Roosevelt match is fired in the morning and the vintage sniper match is fired that afternoon on the same range .

So we can fire the Roosevelt at 200 yards and fall back to 300 yards and pick up your sniper rifles and keep right on shooting!
<b...

Re: OK now the fun begins, forearm repair
You guys sure have sharp eyes! Greg was in the "three minute preparation period" prior to shooting the next prone stage. He was moving and adjusting his position and yes the bolt was open during that time. I was scoring the shooter next to him so I made use of the time to hop like a bunny ...

Re: OK now the fun begins, forearm repair
<r>Here is a picture of the rifle that Stretch32 restored. He was shooting it at Camp Perry last week. Notice he is using the M-1907 leather sling with full tension on the barrel band and stock joint. The rifle and the shooter did just fine.

Cat Man (The big yellow machine kind)
<br...

2018 Roosevelt Match Schedule Improved
Krag shooters were left to the tail end of the CMP matches at Camp Perry in 2017 and still had almost 100 target shooters on the 200 Yard Line. But many shooters had packed and headed home before the Roosevelt match.

Good news for 2018! The new National Match calendar is out and available...

Re: Parts Holder Seeking Gun Maker to make Krags!
Very interesting discussion. I have two thoughts.

1) I think there are enough stripped original receivers around that could benefit from a complete parts kit. Any thought to offering a parts kit priced lower than ordering individual parts one at a time to build a complete Krag? Better to ...

Re: Maintenance Issues
Good information about the rear sight hole diameters. But do check the the most current CMP games rule book as of 1-25-17 about "As Issued Military Rifles" That would be 4.2.1 (g) The maximum aperture size requirement has been eliminated and the current rules now simply read "internal...
