Re: Graf Brass has landed!!
<r>FINALLY able to provide y'all some info:

This Graf Brass is some of the most consistent I have EVER encountered. Literally of the 10% population I weighed, they were all in the 182-183gr range. That's better consistency than my Prime/Norma 6.5 Creedmoor brass, better than my Atlas Deve...

Re: Long Range Chances
Great thread. Lots of information here. Some primer flattening here and there is no problem. If it was combined with sticky extraction or sticky bolt lift... that's a problem. Additionally, you may have a bit or catering as an additional sign.

If the brass was on its first or second firin...

Re: Hardened steel
DAMN that rough! That's one of my "fears" when going after antique firearm screws and whatnot. It's hardened, but not tempered so it just "breaks" like that.

Re: Partial Full Length Sizing New Brass

Paul, how often do you anneal? After how many firings, typically? My brass is still pretty new, but I'm thinking ahead. I keep my loads as light as I can. No reason to beat up my rifle or my shoulder.

I do molten salt bath annealing via the " Ball...

Re: 30-40 Krag Reloading Dies
+1 for Lee Precision. I shoot my 6.5 creedmoor half-MOA or better on some days with my "cheap" LEE dies and equipment. Like some guys have stated, I too have been using nothing but Lee dies and presses for the last decade. Every time I want to "upgrade" to Redding or some other b...

Re: Do I need to check headspace before doing this?

I cannot close either bolt (without considerable pressure) on brass that has been fired (in the sporter) but not yet resized.
