Re: Krags in the Movies

This is a rousing tale of war time France 1918. The ageless story of two men after the same girl. We! We! Marie! stars the great Slim Summerville of All Quiet on the Western Front fame. This is a classic pre-code howler. Lots of Krags in the movie, too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NNvp9WFAwNU .

Re: Hornaday Interlock 220 grain bullet Sale

Since I shoot Hornady 220s in my Match load for my Krag... I'm always on the hunt for bullets! FWIW, Hornady used to make a FMJ 220 gr RN bullet, and I was given a box of these around 15 years ago. They were hands-down the most accurate bullet I ever shot in my Krag! I wish Hornady would make these...

Re: Factory loaded ammunition

I can remember back in grade school making "Matchstick Rockets." We would fashion a paper clip to hold a match upright, Then, wrap a match head in foil (usually from chewing gum) and using a pin, create a nozzle at the bottom. Then, when lit, they would shoot up into the air to the deligh...

Re: Factory loaded ammunition

Culpepper, how much did you pay for a box back in 2005? That would be a good example of a "utilitarian commodity" holding a steady value while our "money" aka "exchange certificates" is continuously devalued. I'm not shy to admit it. $14.91 (in yankee federal reserve n...

Re: Factory loaded ammunition

I was in a rather large gun store (for here in CT) yesterday and I spied Remington 30-40 Krag ammunition with 180gr round nose CoreLokt bullets on the shelf. Ten boxes. I stop by there once a month or so and hadn't seen it before. $57.99/box. New ammo run, looks like. Larry And all of my bud...

Re: Hornaday Interlock 220 grain bullet Sale

I was looking into FMJ 220 grain bullets a couple of years ago. The only place that I could find who made them was Woodleigh Bullets out of Australia. However they had a fire in late 2021 that burned down the factory.
