Re: WTB: Kraghaus Rail

First welcome to the Forum, Idaho. I don't have an answer for you but I could check the link one my end is see if it works for me. What's the link to Kraghaus?

I seem to remember there was a discussion of that particular mount here on the forum in the last year. You could do a search.

Remington .30-40 Ammo Sighting

Before I start, I know it must to difficult to pay the bills and property taxes for FLLs in the present day. So I am not too shocked to see $71.99 for a box of Remington .30-40 ammo on a store shelf. I hope they'll be able to sell it while folks on line offering the same for roughly a buck ninety pe...

Re: Magazine door wants to close

You may need a second set of eyes and fingers to troubleshoot the problem. Some thing is not correct.

Re: Remington 07/15 Berthier and the Road to Camp Perry

Yeah the gun shoots well, kinda. I need a taller front sight to tame the bullet arc. The shooter on the other hand shoots like dog poopoo.

And now for the eye candy...

Re: Pulling it the Culpeper way

Your observation is accurate as usual. However for those who have not had to break down loaded ammo buying even a cheap kinetic puller is fifteen to twenty-five bucks they may not have in their moment of need. Heck, I bet I could substitute dense card board like that from shoe or cereal boxes in pla...

Pulling it the Culpeper way

It being bullets from cartridges that are suspect due to poor annealing and powder choices by the ammo maker. It's easy. It's fun. Impress your friends on how cheap you are. All you need is your press, appropriate shell holder, a vice grip type of pliers and a secret ingredient. This works best for ...

Remington 07/15 Berthier and the Road to Camp Perry

There is a local CMP match tomorrow and the weather is finally above the retirement age so I took the Poilu to the range. I fired two 5 round strings just to see what it will do from the bench and on bags. Windage was great. I think I was on the battle sight. Anyway, I think if I can hold steady in ...

Re: Sight interchangeability?

No, not that it mattered too much. It was somewhat of a moving target over the coarse of the Krag period. The 1894 and '96 sights had the V notch on the front edge of the sight making it a "short" radius in relation to the front sight whether rifle or carbine. The 1898, 1901, and 1902 sigh...
