Re: Krag Ammo Now Obsolete?! =(
I know I'm jumping in late to this conversation. But the Krag is worth reloading for and casting for. Both are great hobbies and will let you get to know your rifle better. I was fortunate enough to buy Winchester and Remington brass years ago when Midway had it on sale. I then bought a Lyman 314299...

Re: new barrel for krag
If the barrel is worth saving Fred, I would have tried a new bolt body first. What did you end up doing with your rifle?

Re: Contemplating buying a bullet mould
Well, how did it work? I think you made the right choice on that mold. I have not touched my Lee 185-312 since I got my Lyman 314299. I got my advice from Madsenshooter and Char gar a while back and it was good advice.

Re: Resizing brass
I only resize about 70% of the neck on my 30-40 cast loads. They chamber fine and are very accurate. They should last longer too as you are working the brass less. When you take her out to shoot dry out your chamber, it is easier on your lug if the case gets a good grip on the chamber walls.

Re: Just another handed down Krag?
