Re: Coping with Quarantine
<r>All the weathermen here are in agreement, San Antonio will be 104 to 105F on Tuesday. We get a hot northeast wind when a hurricane or tropical storm lands east of us. The airport that is the official temp for SA is on the north side next to the hill country. We will 3 to 5 degrees hotter down her...

Re: Mystery 'bolt mounted' peep-sight sells
The sight has an advantage over the striker mounts as it does not move when the trigger is pulled. Like the rest I hope it stays together. The designing and machine work to build such a thing would cost way over $1000.00 at today's normal hourly rates.<br />Would guess a machinist or gunsmith made ...

Re: UN Office of Disarmament Affairs
Another example of facts not correct, but with deadly results is: If a person can is telling you they can not breath they actually can breath and are faking it or exaggerating. My son told me that he was taught this at EMS training. Clearly that guy in New York city was faking it when in the choke h...

Re: UN Office of Disarmament Affairs
Seemed like it was a long time since 2013 with little to show for the resolution. Checked out the document here:

Beto is different I heard him on the news several times, and lots of applause to go with it. So that one is clear cut.

<r>These are old wildlife photos way before covid. This red tailed hawk was seen in the cat's water bowl twice. You can see his feathers are fairly wet in one of the photos, so he was doing more than drinking. The water was on the front porch of the mobile home and both times he was seen we had to w...

Re: Extractor in the way of bolt face.
When your bolt close on a hand fed round the extractor HAS to ride up over the rim. Not sure if one coming in from the side has to ride as high to get over the rim.<br /><br />There is a recess in the receiver that lines up with the recess in the barrel. Check that and see if it is full of hardened ...

Re: Extractor in the way of bolt face.
We had another member have a similar problem with go and no/go gauges. You are correct the go gauge should be smaller and fit where the no/go might not. Need to ask are they from the same manufacturer? Maybe one has a larger bevel then the other.<br /><br />Going out on a limb for the original probl...

Re: Coping with Quarantine
Only killed 2 turkeys myself. The big plus was you could quarter them and not have to cook them all at once. They were not local ones so they had not been addicted to chilies. Once when pig hunting I watched a turkey and a deer checking each other out nose to beak. That was pretty funny.<br />Saw a ...

Re: Old powder
Well on the jar that does not matter, it does say Ball in big bold letters, Mason in smaller letters. My family always called them Mason so I never noticed the "BALL".<br /> I just bought one for something a couple of weeks ago and regretted that it was made in China. I guess they are cons...
