OK, I will buy it. I like Br's idea. If a newbie comes along it will be his. Friday will be my next day there.

Re: 1898 .30-40 vs 1894 6.5x55 for action stregnth?

I understand that some of the European Krag bolts lock on both the locking lug and the guide rib. With the bolt handle as a safety and assuming yours also is locking on the guide rib your Norwegian Krag should be the stronger of the two. If the headspace is correct your Krag should be safe with stan...

Box of new old 30/40 remington ammo.

I was at a flea market this weekend and a regular there had one full box of unfired Krag Remington ammo. The box looks like it has been around for a while. If anyone wants it PM and let me know. The seller wanted $25.00, I could offer a few less. If anyone does want this box it will be whatever iI p...

Re: An adopted Detroit tradition

That is the one. We have deceptive springs that fool the trees into blooming early, then they get caught by late freezes. You cannot grow almonds and nectarines here because they will get fooled. There was a hole next to an adjacent count maintained gravel road here that had about 1 foot of water in...

Re: An adopted Detroit tradition

"Detroit tradition" HMMM I was thinking of automotive not something to eat.

Interesting a tradition that will give you calories to burn in the middle of winter. Kind of goes with the earlier weather report.

I was going to put a link to that winter is not over post but I could not find it.

Re: Want To Put An Unusual Barrel On A Krag

Okay I've been rethinking this. The best way to do this is buy a new barrel and thread/chamber it for the Krag action. I have a bunch of Krags and this is is a junker. I have many in original 30-40 that shoot better then just excellent. As far as 32 Special availability that is of zero concern for ...

Re: Vulnerable Northern Border

Some of the local rivers have a number of gators. But I never have never seem them from the bridge while crossing the San Antonio river about from the house. People that spend more time there say there are a lot of gators in that river. The Rio Grande does not have many so the photo is something som...
