Re: Krag 30/40 and accuracy vs. chamber/throat

Just talked to a technician at Criterion and it appears that Criterion barrels are short chambered with the expectation final fitting will be done by a gunsmith with a reamer. Apparently Parashooter's idea is just that, a novel and clever idea. I passed the info on to the tech from this thread. Who ...

Re: In summary ...

It could be worse, local news interviewed an author this morning that is writing children's books. the titles include "AND THE CURSE OF THE WEEPING WOMAN" about a woman that drowned her own children and came back as a ghost that steals other children. Not sure how children can sleep after ...

Re: Really?!? Do we need the FDA to tell us this is stupid?

Thought about it some more, I guess parents with young children need to be aware. A teachable moment went watching the news with young children.
Evil people out there trying to ruin the lives of young people.

Really?!? Do we need the FDA to tell us this is stupid?

New warning from the CDC, "Do not cook your chicken in Nyquil." Actually, it was the FDA. I get the 3 letter acronyms mixed up sometimes. Evidently the latest Tic Toc challenge. Trying to remember isn't Tic Toc a Chinese company. We have a weedy wild flower here called bee balm. Stinks lik...

Re: 1887 Prototype #5

I would not have guessed this was the same Krag as first seen here: https://kragcollectorsassociation.org/kca/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=42337#p42337 The shape is there but the color of the stock is so different. Your mention of the stock being a sporter replacement makes sense. I had a hard time unders...

Re: In summary ...

It has been so long since I have seen the movie, I have forgotten all the details. You are bringing up things that do not even ring a bell. Maybe there is a benefit to not having grand kids?

Beautifull blonde Krag for sale

I missed it till now maybe other regulars have too. In the classified there is a Krag with an Italian stock and hand guard. Wish it had not been reblued, I might have bought it for general principle even though I do not need it.

Re: What gives you the willies?

2 hours later so he was cooler than the ground. Need to catch one right away to see if they are warmer than the surroundings. Not a bugger, smashed his head with Vibram sole of size 12 work boot. The wack behind the head with a light twig left him looking like he might not be dead.

Re: Krag 30/40 and accuracy vs. chamber/throat

Good info and post...everytime I tune into a Gun site like this...Gunboards... I learn something unexpected. If you were referring to my post. I am not sure I posted anything positively correct about the mechanical stuff preceding and during ignition. Mostly unanswered questions. Thought about it s...
