I also use Unique, 10 grains. Some folks are afraid of detention with such a load. Although I've not had a problem, you could, so Trail Boss will be a good fix.give it a try.

So if the radius of the shot group is 1.2", is that not what we would call a 2.4" group? That matches my experience 2.5-3" groups at 100 yards.

The part I need, needs to wrap around the barrel, then screw into the fore stock. This used to be quite common. Is not done much anymore. Guess I'll have to make one. Thanks,

Building a sported and need a barrel band
I have a 98 action with a 24" 03 barrel on it. I also have a sporter stock I want to put it into. When this mod was common, it was SOP to have a band that went around the barrel, with a threaded female rectangle on the bottom of the band that excepted the forward action screw. I need one of tho...
