Now if i look close it even looks like there is a slight indent where the cartouche should be like it was sanded down and refinished. I emailed them asking for a genuine 1892 replacement because they pull restocking fee BS if you do straight returns. I doubt they will agree but gotta try at least...

Thanks guys you all confirmed my fears... Makes me sick. I guess I should have done my homework before buying it. I've always loved the Krag rifles but it's the first one I've ever owned I have mostly Swiss antiques like the Vetterli's and early Schmidt Rubin's. Thanks again!

Hello I'm new here. I collect only pre-1898 antique rifles and I recently bought this rifle from IMA and I assumed they were trustworthy but I feel I got screwed.
