Re: H4350?
Several "F" class and bench rest shooters have told me, that H4350 shoots much better in 6.5mm, than IMR 4350. The H4350 IS significantly better in my 6.5x55. Since no one here has apparently compared the two 4350's, except Craigster, I may have to try it, and see which makes my Krag happi...

H4350?
Has anyone tried H4350 instead of IMR4350? My 6.5x55 Swede much prefers the H4350, I wonder if the Krag has the same tastes?

Re: Swede now in the family
I found a load my Swede likes: PPU brass, Hornady 140gr. ELD match bullet, 41.0 gr. H4350, WLR primer, OAL 3.050". 1 3/4 inch group at 300 yards. My picture would not attach.

Re: Cleaning reloading Dies
Depends on how much you use them, whether you clean your cases before resizing. The short answer is when they appear dirty.

Swede now in the family
Just purchased a model 1896 Swedish Mauser, caliber 6.5x55 in excellent condition. After reading about the quality and accuracy of these guns, I had to add it to my collection. Also, reading that the ballistics were slightly better than 6.5 Creedmore, and that I had a set of 6.5x55 dies in a lot of ...

Re: Need help identifying rifle
My 1898 Krag rifle, was made in 1901. The barrel looked fair, and after conventional cleaning (Hoppes), still looked just fair. Then I used a bench rest shooters suggested cleaning method, and the bore now is excellent. I used Kroil, and JB'S bore cleaning compound to thoroughly clean the bore.

Re: Brass Case Cleaning
I do not like running dirty cases through my resizing/decapping die. So I tumble them with corn cob, and metal polish for an hour, after lubing and resizing, I tumble them again, for about two hours. This cleans some of the carbon from the primer pockets, making the primer pocket cleaning go faster....

Re: Best Target Ammo?
Yes, surprising accuracy. I got the same accuracy from my 1903A3, with commercial match ammo. To say I was pleased, would be an understatement. It is also a statement of the quality achieved by the turn of the century gun makers.
