Re: Request for help with markings

I retract my statement about it being a M1905 donor. I was going on memory after hitting some after dinner adult beverages. It is a Krag handle with domed rivets. Perhaps the answer is with the scabbard. Figure out the scabbard and bayonet will be found. It appears to be all metal which rules out le...

Re: Request for help with markings

Eric, I keep forgetting you are part of the KCA Foreign Legion, Department of France, so my guess is likely a correct guess.

Eric, Je n'arrête pas d'oublier que vous faites partie de la Légion étrangère KCA, Département de France, donc ma supposition est probablement correcte.

Re: Request for help with markings

First, I am not a US bayonet expert though I have an assortment of them, from the Krag and early M1903 era, that includes a real and a fake 1902 Bolo. Do you have a link for more pictures of this thing? The lighting is in the wrong angles for my liking. Plus we do not have a picture of the mouth of ...

Re: Reloading stuff from Midway.

I have loaded Hornady and Remington factory ammo, just no brass yet. I need to go shoot some of it up so I can start reloading. Lol. Might order more though while it's available. Just wish they would start selling some brass though. Well, Laddy. What are you waiting for? That ammo ain't gonna shoot...

Re: Reloading stuff from Midway.

Five hundred Biden dollars will get you two hundred pieces of pre-loaded brass. Get it before it disappears too. https://ammoseek.com/ammo/30-40-krag https://ammoseek.com/ammo/30-40-krag/Remington Truth be told, this is how many of us started out. Buying ammo and keeping the brass. I had around 2100...

Re: 30-40 Gallery Hand Loads?

Culpeper, don't give anyone the idea that you can load smokeless powder by gestimating "a pinch of powder" into each case. The Bloke in the video was obviously joking, if he said that. I do know, he talked about how catastrophic a double load of smokeless pistol powder will be. GP round-b...

Re: 30-40 Gallery Hand Loads?

Link to The Los Angeles Silhouette Club http://www.lasc.us/ArticlesFryxell.htm BR, Chap did mention using a pinch of powder in the video. I would have to weigh out, as an example, to see how big is a "pinch". Hmmm. Now I am curious to see what that really does look like. Four grains of Uni...
