Re: 1899 Remington Lee

I would love to borrow an A3 from you Paul.... IF you WERE here! I looked at Gunbroker, but they are all way out of my price reach. I had a chance to get a Smith Corona or Remington (there were several) at Camp Perry during Nationals week last year, but I didn't have the money and passed...

Re: Krag and Springfield only Match

Oy! I get left behind again by being over here. My 1895 win musket should be ready by then but I will be in the land of the Muhammedans.

Heeeeey. I wonder if they will allow 1895 win carbines in 30-40 since it is a "Roosevelt" (spit) match and he bought something like a hundred...

Pinky toe nail cancer is the worst and is ninety-nine percent fatal if not caught early enough but it is treatable with mechanical devices. D...

Re: 1896 or Model 1896?

Thank you, sir. I will keep an eye out for a higher number. My 34034 must be in the middle of all those 7000. I have heard 5000 bandied around too. It had a rifle barrel and full stock but bored out to take .30-06 rounds when I bought it. It was in full military attire.

Somewhat academic....

New barrel treatment

Not certain on where to put this question. Could go down in the others section.

So. What should I use to break in the new barrel on the 1895 Winchester (.30-40 Army musket)when it comes back from Turnbull Mfg? Should I just shoot jacketed bullets through it or should it only be lead?<br /...

Welcome to the forum.

Not much to go on without pictures and a serial number or a serial number range, i. e. 34XXX.
