Re: Boyd's stock on an 1898
<blockquote>This might be sacrilege but I put a semi-finished Boyd's stock on my Model 1898. The original stock had been cut down and the length of pull and the difficulty lining up the sights made it near impossible to shoot. A semi-finished stock needs a lot of work. I had to use a coping saw, fil...

Any Sierra 220 gr. users here? Has anyone seen an advantage in Sierra's?

I can't see the cartouche' on either of my Krags
Before I bought them, the seller sent me pictures of the cartouches but, now I can see them as well. What(if anything) is used to hi-light these or is just better lighting and angle used?

Differences in Krag front sight?
Could someone, please, post some good pictures of the different Krag front sights? In particular, the 1896 and the 1898?

Re: Best 30-40 dies for match grade loads
I would suggest any will work but, for best accuracy the operator is the key(how carefully he is). Pay attention to detail.

30/40 Krag reloading?
I've read elsewhere that the Hornaday 220 RN is a favorite bullet for Krags(for ease of feeding, I suppose) but, what powder is everyone using for best accuracy? I'm completely new to reloading 30/40 but, have reloaded most of my adult life, now 67YO. What modern powder and bullet would match milita...
