Re: Most Horrible Feet in Firearm picture ever!

Now we know what Big Foot does with the guns hunters leave in the woods when they see him and drop them. He sells them on Gun Broker!

Re: Scope mount question

Thanks for the info and I'll try the Weaver. I would just use the iron sights but can't get pass those butcher holes on the side. Not to speak ill of the dead, but what did he use? A hand drill. :ugeek:

Scope mount question

]I recently was given a sporterized Krag from a friend who inherited it from his uncle. He gave it to me for parts because he was afraid to shoot it as it has so many holes in the receiver. I tried to convince him it was safe and fired it but he said take it ,he didn't trust it. Anyway here it is. H...

Re: New York

Thanks Ned, I didn't think so. I live next door to Mass. and if you don't have a super secret code ring of some sort, you can;t even look at anything gun related.

Re: Parts be getting hard to find!

It's a bad time to be doing anything firearm related. Reloading supplies are unobtainable. Reloading equipment is hard to get. Live ammo is either hard to find or over priced. Powder Valley has Winchester 30-40 brass for $27.50 for 50. Beats all that work converting.

Re: 30-40 brass

Yeah, because all companies are pushing 9mm, .308 and .223. That's what most people want and everything else is on the side burner. All the odd ball calibers are hard to find right now. I have been stockpiling 30-40 for awhile as the supply always comes and goes. I also having been ordering 7.65 Arg...

Re: Price of bullets rant

Well after doing some searching nobody has Hornady 220 or 180 RN but Midway USA had the Sierra 220 RN on sale for $37 with free shipping over $49. Not a super great price but better than most right now. I ordered some yesterday so they have some if anybody else is interested.

Re: Price of bullets rant

Yeah, I've been thinking about casting. I cast bullets for my trapdoor and mini balls for my 1863 repro but have been avoiding 30 caliber. What mold do you use for a 220 grain Krag bullet?
