Re: A better range trip
With the 178gr. bullets i was using some older hercules 2400. The 220gr. N.O.E. bullets were loaded with IMR 4198. The 178gr. rounds averaged 1940 fps. The 220gr. rounds had an average of 1720 fps.

A better range trip
My last trip to the range was not very good. It was so bad i did not take pics of the "patterns". After working on some new loads things are looking up. Not great groups but way better than the last outing. With N.O.E. 220 gr. cast plain base bullets had acceptable groups at 50 yards. The ...

Re: Economics, Technology & Payback
I would not be getting rid of any reloading manuals or important reference papers and relying on a chinese "smart" phone to give you answers. If they have a way of pulling the plug on a smart phone most people around here would not know how to crack an egg to make breakfast. File cabinets ...

Reloading for that is going to be a royal pain in the backyard.
Re: Mr. Trump
I guess i was trying to say that this country can still be a great one. It just needs better leadership. Republicans and democrats should both stop watching the network news for starters.
Re: Mr. Trump
It has been a long time since i voted for a candidate that i thought would be a good leader, not just the lesser of two evils. One great thing about democracy is that it can change to make itself better. It won't take democrats or republcans to make it better, it will take Americans to do it. Sorry ...

Re: Very modified krag
Thats a nice looking conversion of a Krag. Certainly not a "bubba" creation. Do you know how much it weighs? Also are there provisions for a sling? Nice that it came with some ammo.

Re: Meanwhile out on the range
I had similar luck the last time i had my Krag out. I was shooting 210 grain cast bullets. I was part of the problem for sure but i think the load had something to do with it. Maybe a heavier weight pill that gets closer to the rifling might bring your groups in closer? If i found out one thing abou...

Re: Hard to id rifle
Nice looking rifle. But it does look a little unwieldy. I bet if you cut down the barrel and stock it would make a handy lightweight hunting rifle. (just kidding).
Re: Courage
What a dope.
