Re: Loads for 30/40 using IMR4895

Greg,
Right when you enter the "Krag Forum", before you click on a specific topic, in the upper right corner there is a little yellow folder that says " Start New Topic". Click that and you are on your way!

Don,
I have e-mailed Nord about our site and this forum. I hope that he will check it out and help us answer the tougher Norwegian Krag questions.

Constabulary Carbine
I have what I believe to be a real constabulary carbine. It is the right general configuration, end of barrel turned down for bayonet, Model 1899, serial # 227420, correct stock with faint 1902 cartouche, 1898 carbine rear sight with the corners ground down. <br>The question is about a tag it has on...

Re: 96 vs 98

Remember, if you take it to a dealer, they will most likely be offering you less than the actual value because they want to make a profit o...

Curved buttplate
I was just wondering if anyone knew the reasoning behind adding the curve at the bottom of the buttplate of the 1896 rifle and carbine. I have looked a bit in Mallory and Brophy and, while they mention that a new buttplate design was used for the Model 1896, I didn't find a reason for the curve. Jus...
