Re: Y'all were right...these things do multiply - 1896

It would probably do really well with a .310 or.312 cast bullet.
A lot of Krags were bored a lot bigger than .308
Mine shoot great with bullets sized .310

Re: 2400 load....

Thanks guys... I have the books, and use 2400 in most all my
military rifles. But I've read some things like you shouldn't use
fast pistol powders in the Krag. That's why I asked. It shoots
great in the Krag and I have never seen signs of over pressure.
I've found it to be the b...

2400 load....

Would you consider 16.5 grains of 2400 under a 200 gr cast
bullet a soft load for the Krag?
Thanks for any info.

1898 Krag rifle ser number?

Hi there gentleman....
Would I be correct in assuming that my Krag rifle #153225
was made around Nov or Dec of 1898? Thanks for any info.

Re: Krag books????

I went and ordered the Poyer book. It looks like it will be plenty
enough info for this old brain to handle...Thanks for the replies.

Krag books????

Trying to find a decent book on Krag rifles and carbines.
Is the book by Joe Poyer 3rd edition any good? I don't
want to spend a arm and leg for it, but want something
decent. Thanks for any info.

Re: 1898 Krag carbine ??

OK guys, I'm back with another question. I located another
front sight blade, but it has a slight side to side movement
after I installed it. Is there any way I can tighten the slot
or whatever to make it tight? Thanks for any replies.
