Re: Day 1 30-40 Krag Owner
Chad I've taken more deer with my krag than any other rifle or caliber that i have. I bought my first one 36 years ago after listening to my grandfather brag about the one he had and then sold. He was with me when i bought my first so it is very special. I used it on woodchucks at 100 yards when i w...

Re: Saddle rings
I saw 2 on GunBroker recently. One with the ring and one just a plate. I wasn't really in the market for another carbine unless it was near perfect and all original. That is what prompted the question. Thanks for the responses.

Frank,
Yes I would like to order one of the KRSII's. Please let me know how and how much. I recently tried to buy a volume of KRSI on e-bay but I was outbid at the last moment.
Is the information the same in the books, basically a reprint of the original, or a totally new thing?
I jus...

Serial number check
Hello again,
Last night I asked about stocks. The Krag in question is #155759. I was a little dismayed when I saw it. It has been drilled for a scope. They tapped right into the model # and the serial #. They did a decent job of fitting a monte carlo stock with a cheek piece. The safety isn't or...

Also I have a friend who has a Krag and it has been sporterized. He was asking about the possibility of getting a stock for it. Can we f...

Re: Krags out of Context
Dog,
Although I can relate to your desire to have been born a hundred or so years earlier the fact of the matter is we weren't. What happened in history at the time of the Spanish-American War is just that, history. Everyone has a different means and approach to learning about history. Finding o...
