I saw 2 on GunBroker recently. One with the ring and one just a plate. I wasn't really in the market for another carbine unless it was near perfect and all original. That is what prompted the question. Thanks for the responses.

Does anyone have specific information on carbines manufactured with the saddle rings. were they original or add on and is there a date range for those?
