Re: Bob's feed problem
<r>I had occasion to dismantly my 1896 today to take handguard measurements, and took the opportunity to pull the side plate and take images. Here they are. Hope they contribute to the resolution to the problem.<IMG src="https://kragcollectorsassociation.org/kca/phpBB3/images/yabbfiles/Attachments/96...

Re: Reloading,where to start?
I'm heading out to a cast bullet match this morning with my 1896 Krag, cartridges loaded on my RCBS Junior I purchased in 1964. Wish I had a nickle for every round put through that press! Oh - Lee dies work just fine, and if you are loading for only that rifle, just neck-size with a Lee collet neck ...

Re: Another BoOF rifle appears to have surfaced
As a side note, my feeble brain wonders if the lands would necessarily align properly from a sweated-on muzzle sleeve? Might be interesting to see as viewed from the muzzle. Since the front sight bases were brazed on later there could be misalignment of either the front sight (exterior) or the lands...

Re: Another BoOF rifle appears to have surfaced
I am still bothered by the non-matching front sight base and the pin holding the blade in place. It just stands out as "replacement". What about the possible seam?
