That Krag is screaming for a scout mount from Kraghause and a long eye relief scope!!!! If it was mine I would do that in a flash!<br />Restoration would probably not be cost effective and you can buy rifles with full barrels and sights intact with only the stock cut for reasonable prices from time ...

I will pass this along Dick. The only change was before New Years when we expanded space for pictures.

It would depend on whether it is updated to M'96 configuration.<br />If your rifle is still in M'92 configuration the an 1894 dated bayonet would be as "originally" issued.<br />If it is '92/'96 then any thing goes.<br />Bottom line is that the rifle would likely have been returned to armo...

The sight pictured is aftermarket and a little crudely done. I have seen similar sights dove tailed into the cocking piece.

I have the short rail mounted one a sporter that I got from the Bill Mook collection. I have a Leupold handgun scope mounted on it. So far so good.
