That is interesting. I have no troubles going between posts whether in Firefox, Brave, or Edge. I try not to use Chrome because of my biases.

Re: Remington 07/15 and bad PPU 8mm Lebel ammo
Well... I did a deep dive over there with a search of "8mm Lebel loads" down through the French and the Reloading forums. Copy and pasted them to a notepad file. Every thing I found seemed hot to me which is why I found GRT so I could get sane and safe loads. SR-1 targets at 100 yards. I a...

Re: Remington 07/15 and bad PPU 8mm Lebel ammo
I did better than that. I deprimed them all through the process and put .38 brush on the drill and zipped them in and out for a few seconds. I also used a little Ballistol for lube followed by a wet tumble. I had one case rupture at the last match that I figure I missed in the anneal stage. I used G...

Re: Remington 07/15 Berthier and the Road to Camp Perry
It looked like it was going to be a nice afternoon without the Spring monsoons. Rain was supposed to blow in later on but it showed up early. Dang it. I shot ten from the bench just before the clouds started to get dark. Note the aiming point was at the bottom of the target. Wish I could shoot that ...

Chronographing Standard and Pet Loads
Have any of you fellas chronographed your loads to see how close they are to published info from the bullet makers given similar conditions? Or do you do the same as myself and go on blind faith how many feet per second the load runs?

Re: Remington 07/15 Berthier and the Road to Camp Perry
To look at the front sight it would appear to be one machined piece soldered onto the barrel but in the bright sunlight I see it is a two piece affair. Remington machined the four side surfaces smooth. I call that primo work. The good news is the front sight was made to American norms of the time wi...

Re: Remington 07/15 Berthier and the Road to Camp Perry
So a late update from the local match. Yes the results were as expected. The bad: My shooting really sucks with no sling. It merely sucks with one. There. I admit it. The inside of the barn does have holes in the walls though. Score 185/500. The good: I was able to get off all fifty rounds on the lo...
