Remington 07/15 Berthier and the Road to Camp Perry
There is a local CMP match tomorrow and the weather is finally above the retirement age so I took the Poilu to the range. I fired two 5 round strings just to see what it will do from the bench and on bags. Windage was great. I think I was on the battle sight. Anyway, I think if I can hold steady in ...

Re: Sight interchangeability?
No, not that it mattered too much. It was somewhat of a moving target over the coarse of the Krag period. The 1894 and '96 sights had the V notch on the front edge of the sight making it a "short" radius in relation to the front sight whether rifle or carbine. The 1898, 1901, and 1902 sigh...

Re: Sight interchangeability?
The rear sight screw holes are universal across all models. So yes, you could substitute any rear sight, though, you would not be able to use the 96R hand guard with the 1898 or 1901, 1902 rear sights. Hand guards are rear sight specific. The rear sights may have different height screws between the ...

Re: Need help with photos
No 1898 or 1901 rifle sights. How about a couple of carbine sights?
Do they have to be mounted to a rifle? That'll take a couple of days.

Re: Remington 07/15 and bad PPU 8mm Lebel ammo
Well I opened a third box of the ammo. More of the same green crap is in it. So the answer is I am going to break down the entire lot and rebuild it one box at a time. Oh, this is going to be a slog of epic proportions but the side is a new thread is going to be created with the name of... Remington...

Re: New guy, new Krag
A second option is to contact the Civilian Marksmenship Program at Anniston, Ala. and have their armors look at it.

Re: .30-40 Krag Ammo Sale
This news is outrageous! How am I going to make robber baron profits on my $4.25 a box Krag ammo hidden in the tunnel complex? Orange Man Bad! Look at what he did to Wall Street. Tee hee This is great news for Krag shooters and even better news Midway has put Hornady brass on sale at $1.08 per piece...

Re: Remington 07/15 and bad PPU 8mm Lebel ammo
Your cautions are duly noted. But I decided to throw caution to the wind and fired off the sixteen pieces. No problems were found. All of the annealed brass is fine. I shot the first three at the target un-aimed because, well, you never know... Then I aimed at the target (50 yards) to see what the a...
