Re: Remington 07/15 and bad PPU 8mm Lebel ammo

Yesterday was a Lebel day. The idea was to anneal the twenty previously fired cases from a couple of years ago and then break down the next twenty to reload them. Imagine my surprise when I pulled them apart. Yup. Green corrosion at the necks. Some were worst than others as you can see in the pic. T...

Re: Gulf of Ohio

Re: Time to head home.

I know one thing Moriku corrected on some of the new rifles with the military style rear sights. There is a locking screw on the rear sight slider. One of the complaints from the field trials was the elevation changed under recoil. I need to find that reference again.

Gulf of Ohio

After President Donald Trump's great success renaming the Gulf of America and Mount McKinley, the president is preparing to declare he has the sole power to rename anything he wants. The Daily Signal was added to a group chat called "Top Secret Renaming Small Group" by a Snapchat user, in ...

Re: Baltimore Antique Gun show AAR

I think the old guys retiring and new guys getting in the game goes in waves. At least it just seems like it. I spoke with Mr. Don Hartman, author of The U.S. Krag Bayonets and the US Military and Experimental Entrenching Tools books, about future projects. The Entrenching book is sold out and he ha...

Re: Baltimore Antique Gun show AAR

Nope. I'm still riding that train. I sold off the 1902 Bolo and a case of .30-40 to a pair of very good homes. I am lining up my carbine sights for the next go round. Addendum to the AAR. I saw a couple of guys selling Krag carbine sights. One, in particular, was a 1898 sight but the graduated part ...

Baltimore Antique Gun show AAR

I went to the show yesterday. I walked around and saw more than a few Krags and three Lee Navies, one military and two sporters. I collected most of the serial numbers but misplaced my note pad. There was one 1894 that was in carbine dress. It looked good but I highly doubt it was a carbine from Spr...

Venmo, Apple Pay, or Kmart gift card? Yep Total scam.

Warning Will Robinson! Warning!

And yes, that is the mod for prop guns firing blanks. I have one from a beat up carbine.

Re: WW-2: The gift that keeps on giving!

It's just as bad or worst with all the live Great War ordnance still in the ground on the old Western front. The disturbing thing is a lot of it is mustard and other chemical agents.
