Re: Gun Shows and events

I've used that laugh myself at many gun shows. That's why I rarely go anymore. Have a nice Sunday!

Re: Gun Shows and events

Are prices good enough for you to buy anything or is everything high like most gun shows?

Re: Gun Shows and events

Used to go to these shows with my dad when I was a kid. Haven't been for decades.

Any good Krags or Krag parts seen yet?

High Serial Number

I know Dick has Krag rifle serial number 482440 and I own a sporter with serial number 482709. I just found a Krag Model 1898 rifle for sale online with serial number 488188. (And those are "8"s.) (Not buying it!) Highest known serial number, if I have my details correct, is 499036 (Mallor...

Great day at the range! Boy, it sure looks like you could have some fierce winds kicked up on those flats. Thanks for the fun range day experience. I was working on taxes all weekend!

Re: Hand Guard for Model 1899 Carbibe

When you attempt to replace the hand guard, you will need to carefully remove the barreled receiver, also, from the stock before removing the rear sight and mounting the hand guard. I hope that you do have the appropriate barrel band needed for the front of the stock already. So, the stock that you ...

Re: Hand Guard for Model 1899 Carbibe

Olpeddler, You have a neat story about your Krag Model 1899 carbine. Sounds like a nice Krag to own and shoot. The hand guard is obviously a "luxury" and not a necessity to be able to use the firearm. Krags without hand guards look naked to those of us who have collected them for years. ma...

Re: The Two Greatest Presidents In My Life Time

There's a sign in someone's yard close to where we live that says:

"Mean Tweets: 2024"

I laughed when I saw that!

Re: Ya’ll better jump on this UNALTERED 1898 sight!

I had already been in touch with this seller last week about some other items he's selling. Very nice and he is a Krag collector selling other Krag items. I don't know why he did this but he must have felt bad and took it down. It's still a Model 1898 rifle sight but not worth as much as an unaltere...
