No ... I don't think so ... it has Glasgow fingerprints all over it!
Always consider the 'modus operandi'. It reeks of that famous comedian, John Knox.

Glasgow Hooligans
There must be some Scottish Soccer Hooligans in Rio De Janeiro ... or ... The Catholic Church has partially covered the Jesus Statue for the Lenten Season.

Kongsberg stockmakers
This 1890's photo is very reminiscent of Springfield Armory photographs of stock-making department workers.

Manned Space launch ....
Sunday night at 10:53 p.m., the Central Florida TV news station said the manned launch was "on" and started the countdown. I stepped out of our Central Florida place, walked to the end of the driveway and faced East. I was quickly rewarded with a great high altitude view of the rocket laun...

Re: Correct rear sight?
Dick Hosmer, I was not advocating that the OP change the rear-sight on his Model 1898 Krag rifle. I was endeavoring to explain, that even if his rifle was initially assembled in 1903 with a model 1902 rear-sight, events unfolded that might have resulted in an official change to the model 1901 sight....

Hold the "First Annual KCA Forum - Gong Matches". You might lure some of us with our Krags, out to New Mexico, and teach us all how to eat humble pie! At 6,500 foot elevation, I would probably get out of breath, just working a smooth Krag bolt! Your altitude would adjust my attitude. You g...

Re: Krag rifle in current CMP auction
Well, it started at $1.00 and has 52 bids, so far!
It comes with CMP papers and a hang-tag.
Auction prices tend to get mighty goofy.
The stock blemish would normally hurt most collector interest, but the CMP has a different and big audience.

Wow, you have 'long-range' Krag shooting opportunity, that most of us can only envy!
At those distances, I would focus on 185 grain and 172 grain Match-King loads for better velocity and wind bucking.
