That was the first rifle bullet mold i bought (1973). Sometimes i wish i had bought a two cavity model. it works in my 30-06 and 30-40 loads as good or better than my other .30 cal. molds. I guess i got lucky with mine, it has a .302 nose section when cast with lyman no. 2 mix..

The last time i bought 30-40 brass from midsouth (3 years ago) it was headstamped by hornady. Not positive but i think this brass is also hornady stamped.

Midsouth shooters has new primed 30-40 brass available. Lots of 100 at $1.00 per case. Not cheap but at least available.

I liked the movie satires. Paul neumans "hud" became "crud". "Voyage to the bottom of the sea" was "Voyage to see whats on the bottom". One of the very few magazines that did not have any advertizing until just before it stopped being published. Fester bestert...

Thanks Culpepper. I guess i was lucky to get a Krag that was not stripped of its parts. It even has its cleaning rod and oiler. Thanks butlers rangers. Does this pic of the sight help?
