Re: 1898 Feed Issue
My 1898 will not feed the fifth round from the magazine. I have been told, it is the fault of a weak magazine spring. Perhaps this may be an issue.

Re: Perils of Catnip
Thanks, great picture. I sent it to my cat loving friends, warning them, do not let your cat drive under the influence of cat nip.

New Hornady match
Has anyone seen, or tried Hornady's new aluminum tipped match bullets? They are advertised to be superior to the plastic tipped bullet, because the weight of the bullet is placed for better accuracy.

Re: Dark bore
The bore in my Krag did not look good when I bought it. I used a bench rest shooters cleaning method, and found a very good bore, which shoots very accurately. The cleaning method uses Krill oil, and JB's bore cleaning compound. I use it on all used rifles I buy, and it does an excellent job. ;)

Re: Long Range Chances
The Bridgeville Rifle and Pistol Club is installing a large gong at 1000 yards. All match shooters will have to hit the gong, before they can shoot the electronic targets. This to prevent damage to the targets, by someone who does not have a correct 1000 yard zero.

Re: My gaudy Garand
The loose gas screw may have caused better groups, this happened to me, which prompted me to use the adjustable gas device.
