Re: 1894 norwegian krag in .22 cal
On the one the 6.48 gauge does not enter, do you have smaller gauges to see how much smaller. The gauges are much harder than the barrel so do not force any of them. The measurement of most concern would be full diameter of the grooves. If your 6.5 has an even number of grooves slug it and mike or h...

Re: Reading from the Krag collection
Interesting illustration of the cartridges in the magazine. Someone's heading for a case of rimlock! I caught that also. In practice it is hard to do. I did one experiment so I am not an expert, but I loaded cartridges into my 35/40 so the rims should have locked. if I closed the door fast they re...

Can not tell you anything about the cartouche, but that light color of the stock make me think Italian walnut.

Re: PM's seem to be funky!
Before I knew the site was operational I sent and received a few PMs to SavageBrother. At least one that I think was sent stayed in the outbox and I can not clear it. So it is a little quirky. On other sites you have to check a box to keep a copy of outgoing PMs. Not sure if we did that back then or...

Re: How do we connect to old posts?
Whig, You probably have a list of links to important threads, the old format will not find any of them anymore. Maybe Josh can help with a format translator? If not we will just have to use the search feature to find each of those important threads then copy the new internet address for each.

Re: How do we connect to old posts?
Whig, Take a look at these new posts, I copied this from your first message on this thread: How do we connect to old posts? (*) Post by Whig » Wed Oct 07, 2020 7:58 pm Just before the "Post by Whig" is a small square hot icon (*). When you hover your mouse pointer over it a hand appears wi...

Re: How do we connect to old posts?
Whig, I think I see what is wrong with your link that does not work. On my tablet I think I see .org as part of the link you tried. If the link is the same nomencature changing to .com may work. If not you will need to search for it again then use what Josh sent me. I just tried the link to the scou...

Re: How do we connect to old posts?
http://www.kragcollectorsassociation.com/viewtopic.php?p=32104#p32104 You mean like this? If so this is the instructions given to me by Josh: Hey Fred, I understand now… there is a way to do this. There is a small icon that looks like a piece of paper next to each user name within a post. The icon i...

Re: side plate scope mount
Matticus, This site was down for several months and some of the members have not been back yet. Carbon outlaw has done some very interesting and creative things with Krags. It will be good to see what he is up to when he gets back. The blocks that he was working with on that mock up mount may have b...
